At the House of European Design store on Jackson street in San Francisco. Don’t bring the fire marshalls to your house when you have this lamp on. The ingenious design is a simple play on your eyes as the match appears to never go out and looks fully exposed to a possible fire hazard. The brass ‘match’ sits on a porcelain cube and as the oil lamp burns, the match sits there, as if it’s just about to burn out but it never does. The cube measures 3.5 inches. It was designed by Julia Thesenfitz, known for her innovative and clever designs. Find here.

Is one generation more environmentally responsible than another? A survey from the Pew Research Center says no.
The four generations surveyed—Millennials Gen-Xers, Boomers and Silents—participate in environmentally-conscious behavior to roughly the same degree.
As an example, recycling from the home—the most popular way for all generations to exibit their greenness—is done by 69% of Millennials (19-29 ), 77% of Gen-Xers (30-45), 72% of Boomers (45-65) and 77% of the Silent generation (65+).
Over 50% of consumers in all generations buy green products, even if they are more expensive.
When food shopping, the Silent generation is least likely to buy organic. Gen-Xers are the most likely—with 38% saying they try to buy organic even if it costs more.
Overall, though, the Pew researchers found income seemed to be a greater factor in making green purchases than age: 63% of Millennials with an income over $75,000 say they buy environmentally friendly products, while less than half with an income less than $30,000 try to buy green products.

The Owner of Péché Mignon says : Péché Mignon which in French means “guilty pleasure” is the story of a dream come true. A native from France, I moved from Paris to San Francisco in 2005 to achieve a 14 year old dream to live in the City by the Bay.
My wish was to bring with me what I love about France, most importantly, the French lifestyle. The easiest way for me to do that was to import unique, stylish, and sophisticated daily home accessories.
I like to surround myself with traditional products that represent France and share them with my clients. My goal is to introduce well crafted French home accents to anyone that has a passion for beauty.
I opened Péché Mignon in 2005, a unique French home décor store into which I poured my heart. At Péché Mignon, our mission statement is to celebrate and promote all the wonderful qualities French products are known for: a certain sense of style, impeccable quality and unique creativity.
At Péché Mignon, we take sincere pride in our products and services. Being a small business allows us to focus on customer service and to be particularly attentive to your needs and expectations. We created this website with the highest security standards available, we ship your order quickly and we only charge you credit card once your order is shipped.

What kept us from enjoying the incredible flavor of loose teas for far too long was the hassle factor. Let’s face it: tea bags are simple and loose tea is messy and irritating. Until now. My wonderful Aunt Ro got me one of these infuser pots and for a while it just sat in its box as I was sure it was yet another BS contraption I would hate and trash. But it’s the real deal and converted Jack and I to full-time loose tea drinkers. Also, we’ve been using the same one for 2 years and it hasn’t worn out. Here’s how it works, so cinchy even I who literally cannot empty the dryer lint trap without calling the fire department for assistance can do it. You boil your water. You dump a teaspoon of tea in the infuser pot. You fill the infuser pot with your boiling water. You wait 3 or 4 minutes depending on how strong you want your tea. (Or combine all those steps using the microwave.) You set the infuser pot on your tea cup (it works on any size cup). A magical valve (I swear this company has made a FORTUNE on this thing) releases all the tea into your cup and the icky tea leaves stay in the pot. Enjoy your tea. The company says (there are actual printed directions in the box you get) that you can then put it in the dishwasher but we just rinse it out, you can do whatever you want there’s no law about it as far as we know.looflac .Find here.

The vast majority of energy used in the U.S. food system (around 80 percent) goes to processing, packaging, transporting, storing, and preparing food.
Produce in the U.S. travels, on average, 1300 – 2000 miles from farm to consumer. Since 1970, truck shipping has dramatically increased, replacing more energy efficient transportation by rail and water.
Local food systems can reduce “food miles” and transportation costs, offering significant energy savings. Consumers also benefit from fresher, better-tasting, and more nutritious food, while more food dollars stay within rural communities.

Argentine tango is a uniquely romantic, exciting, sexy, mesmerizing style of tango. Other kinds of tango tend to be very bold and sharp and not so romantic. In contrast, Argentine tango can be soft and flowing as well as fast and exciting. That’s what makes Argentine Tango so appropriate for a dance of love at wedding receptions and other parties. It also explains why people will dance Argentine tango all night long without the need to switch to other dances. Find here.
